How to make a request?

相信大家都會遇到需要別人幫忙的時候。
譬如說，看了某篇論文之後，想使用作者的系統，
得寫封信去詢問等等。
通常根據對象、事情的難易度，
請別人幫忙的用語也不同。
那，用英文該如何表達不同禮貌程度的請求呢？

以下所列的是從比較隨便到非常正式的用法，句型以粗體紅色顯示：

1. Can I brrow your pencil?
2. Could you lend me a jacket?
3. May I use your umbrella?
4. Is it OK if I use your phone?
5. Do you mind if I use your CD burner?
6. Would it be OK if I picked it up on Friday night? (請注意子句內的動詞必須是過去式)
7. Would you mind if I borrowed your digital camera? (請注意子句內的動詞必須是過去式)
8. Would you mind letting me use your laptop? (請注意使用現在分詞)
9. I wonder if I could brrow some money.
10. I was wondering if you’d mind lending me your car. (請注意使用現在分詞)
